Announcement of Election for Park Commissioner of the Prospect Heights Park District
The Prospect Heights Park District will be accepting Petitions of Nomination from December 12 through December 19, 2016, for three (3) vacant positions which are four (4) year terms to serve as Park Commissioner of the Prospect Heights Park District. Any individual who is a registered voter and resident of the Prospect Heights Park District for at least one year prior to the election is eligible to hold the office of Commissioner of the Prospect Heights Park District.
The office of Commissioner is an elected position with no financial compensation. Commissioners will be selected by vote of the community in the Consolidated Election to be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. The Board of Park Commissioners meets formally at 7:00 pm, on the third Tuesdays of each month, for regular Board meetings and for special meetings when necessary.
Individuals interested in running for the office of Park Commissioner should contact Edlyn Castil, Secretary to the Board of Park Commissioners, by calling 847.394.2848, or stop by the Admin Building at 104 W Camp McDonald Rd in Prospect Heights, Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm to obtain election materials.
