Jr. Explorers (Age 3 - 5)
To meet your needs Jr. Explorers Camp has several different
options to choose from: a half day or a full day option, both
offered two, three or five days a week. Campers will swim in the
morning only. Activities will include arts and crafts, plus indoor
and outdoor games. Campers will also venture to the Prospect
Heights Library for events.
Morning & Full Day Campers: Need to bring a swim suit, towel
and sunscreen each day.
Full Day Campers: Need to bring the above mentioned along
with a backpack, lunch, snack and plenty to drink each day.
Afternoon Campers: Need to bring a snack and a drink each day.
Limit: 24

Explorers (Age 5 - 7)
Spend a fun filled summer with us. Mornings are filled with arts and crafts, sports, games and occasional trips to the library. Afternoons are busy with free play and swimming. One field trip or in-house entertainment event per session is included. Please check with registration staff on field trip dates. Field trip dates can be planned for either M/W/F or Tu/Th.

Adventure Camp (Age 8 - 11 Entering 3rd - 5th Grade)
Take a journey and explore all that Adventure Camp has to offer. Campers will rotate each morning for a variety of activities including arts and crafts, sports, fitness, games, science, and lots of surprises. In the afternoons, campers will swim at the Gary Morava Recreation Center Pool. When registering please inquire about field trip days. One field trip per session either M/W/F or Tu/Th.

Sports Camp (Age 8 - 11)
Lace up your gym shoes as we will be running towards sports and fun! Counselors will plan organized games that will keep you entertained all morning! Teamwork and sportsmanship will be emphasized. Watch your child’s calendar as we will have special theme days! Send your child each day with a back pack, plenty of water/drinks, lunch, towel, swimsuit, comfortable clothes and gym shoes. When registering please inquire about field trip days. One field trip per session either M/W/F or Tu/Th.

Traveling Camp (Age Entering 6th - 8th Grade)
Take the journey beyond Prospect Heights. Travelers will embark on three off-site expeditions per week to favorites such as water parks, amusement places, restaurants and some surprises. Special events, in-house entertainment and other activities are also planned. Traveling Camp will also swim at the Gary Morava Pool on days they are on site. Camp fee includes one t-shirt per summer, field trip transportation, most admissions and all in-house entertainment events.

Camp Swim Lessons (Age 5 - 13)
The Prospect Heights Park District Summer Camp offers the Learn To Swim Program. Certified swim instructors will teach lessons and supervise the transition back to camp. Participants must be registered and attending camp on the day of lessons.

Art Camp (Age 7 - 11)
Back by popular demand and always a hit! Art Camp! Campers will enjoy a fun filled morning of doing various art projects. We will have a new theme each week and all projects will be based on the week’s theme. Children will also get the chance to enjoy small group games. All campers will swim in the afternoon. Children must bring a sack lunch, towel, swimsuit and sunscreen.
Performing Arts Camp (Age 5 & up)
THE PRINCESS & THE PEA - The curtain is going up...on a summer filled with the excitement and magic of theater! In just a few short weeks, our talented staff will help the campers put on a full-scale musical theatre production! Campers will also learn the basic techniques of acting, singing and dancing for musical theatre. Theatre fundamentals are emphasized with first-hand tricks to memorizing lines, character development, costuming, set design and so much more. Camp is held on T, W, Th from 3pm to 5pm. First day of camp is Tuesday, June 18th. Performance will be on Thursday, July 25th.

End of Summer Camp - August 5-9 (Age 5 - 11)
This extra week of summer fun will be a blast. Campers will be grouped according to age and participate in one field trip.

Terrific 10th Week - August 12-16 (Age 5 - 11)
Join us for this last week of camp before the kids head back to school. Children will be grouped according to age. Please pack your child a lunch, swimsuit, towel and a snack each day. We will take one field trip during this session as well as many other fun activities.

Specialty Camps For Summer 2013!
All Specialty Camps meet at the Gary Morava
Recreation Center prior to departure. The camp
covers the costs of all trips and one camp t-shirt.
Each day always bring a towel, backpack, swim
suit and lunch to camp. On days that trips end
early there will be time for swimming or an
activity at the GMRC.

Waterpark Camp (Age 10 - 13)
Come on a journey with us as we explore a different waterpark each day of the week. Most trips will leave promptly at 9am. Come prepared with a backpack, swim suit, sunscreen, towel and lunch each day.
Golf Camp (Age 10 - 13)
What’s your par for the course? How far can you drive a ball? Can you score a hole in one? If your interest lies close to the hole, you found the right camp! You will be able to touch up on your putting at mini golf, perfect your swing at the driving range, and use all your skills at a par 3 golf course! Each participant must provide their own golf clubs on days when camp attends the driving range and golf course. The park district is not responsible for any lost or damaged clubs during these outings. Proper attire will need to be worn when we visit the driving range and golf course. More information will be provided on the first day of camp.
Sports Themed Camp (Age 10 - 13)
Do you enjoy sports? This is the right camp for our sports enthusiasts! Each day of the week the trip will be focused on something to do with sports.
Waterpark, Golf, Sports Camp Combined (Age 10 - 13)
This camp combines all three of our specialty camps into one jammed packed week. We will explore waterparks, mini-golf course, and sports related activities.
